Exactly what it says on the tin – one of my favourite comedians giving his own remarkable perspective on the orchestra, music in general and some instruments in particular.

Highlights for me:

  • the bassoonists’ obsession with the Bee Gees
  • the Cockney influence on classical music
  • clever use of the Theremin
  • The Swan played on cow bells
  • 1970s cop show theme tunes
  • the Prog Rock hommage

All with some very clever jokes, an orchestra clearly having fun, and the wonderful setting of the Royal Albert Hall, one of my very favourite places.

Had me laughing out loud.
